Privacy Policy.

Last updated: May 2026. This policy describes how ReLive Genomics handles data in the context of an early-stage AI research project involving biometric and genetic signals.

1. Current project status

ReLive Genomics is an independent student research project in early build phase. No human data has been collected from any user or participant. All development to date has used publicly available datasets (FACED, 1000 Genomes Project) and the founder's own personal data with self-consent. No product is publicly available.

2. Types of data we may handle in the future

If and when the project reaches a stage where external data is collected, the following categories may be involved — each requiring explicit, granular, informed consent before collection begins:

  • Behavioral and linguistic data (text messages, journal entries, voice recordings)
  • EEG recordings and derived emotional signature data
  • Genomic and DNA sequencing data
  • Epigenetic methylation patterns
  • Heart rate variability (HRV) from wearable devices
  • Eye tracking and gaze pattern data
  • Facial micro-expression recordings
  • Voice biomarker data (prosody, stress patterns)
  • Website usage data (analytics, contact form submissions)

3. Consent framework

ReLive Genomics is built around consent-first architecture. Before any personal data collection begins, participants will go through a structured informed consent process that includes:

  • Full explanation of what is collected, how it is processed, and who may access it
  • Granular consent — participants choose which data layers to enable independently
  • Revocable consent — withdrawal and full data deletion available at any time, without friction
  • 30-day review period before any collection begins
  • Family designation for posthumous access and control

4. Data processing and storage

The planned architecture follows a staged privacy workflow:

Stage 1 — Local

Raw data is preprocessed on local infrastructure. Sensitive data never leaves the local device without explicit approval.

Stage 2 — Review

Users review and filter processed data in a companion app before anything moves forward.

Stage 3 — Approved

Only explicitly approved summaries and selected data are used for model training in ReLive datacenters.

All stored data will be encrypted using AES-256 encryption. Access will require biometric authentication from registered family members only.

5. Data we will never collect or use

  • We will never sell, license, or monetize individual biological data
  • We will never train models on data that users have not explicitly approved
  • We will never collect data without a completed informed consent process
  • We will never share individual-level data with third parties for any purpose
  • We will never use data for purposes beyond those consented to

6. Your rights

When data collection begins, all participants will have the following rights:

  • Right to access — view all data collected about you at any time
  • Right to export — download a full copy of your data in a portable format
  • Right to deletion — permanently delete all your data at any time, with no friction or delay
  • Right to withdraw consent — revoke consent for any or all data layers independently
  • Right to transparency — receive weekly summaries of what was collected and how it was used

7. Website data

This website does not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. The contact form on this website collects only the information you voluntarily provide (name, email, message). This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with any third party.

8. Regulatory compliance

ReLive Genomics is committed to compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act). As the project matures, we will appoint a Data Protection Officer, conduct Privacy Impact Assessments, and implement all required technical and organizational safeguards before any public data collection.

9. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy will be updated as the project evolves. Any material changes will be clearly communicated. The version date at the top of this document reflects the most recent update.

This policy applies to all products and services under ReLive Genomics, including Eterno.
